[2023/12/16 15:50] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "So now we're just kinda... wandering. Though we do have a few quests." She pauses. "There was that lord who wanted to talk to us that we said we'd meet up with after the Lord Yu thing."
[2023/12/16 15:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "But what of Leeshas' quest?"
[2023/12/16 15:52] Alicia Frakture: There is a haunted ship that needs to be set on fire." She looks at Debben."No I am not letting that go." Leesha sighs." If I am meant to find someone or something to help me focus my mind and get through my anger issues, then I will no matter where we go and what we do
[2023/12/16 15:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Surely to get help, you must ask for help. It would seem we are at the right place. Surely the attempt must be made."
[2023/12/16 15:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "You seemed really upset when Leesha was about to make such an attempt."
[2023/12/16 15:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Surely there are better ways than spilling blood!"
[2023/12/16 15:56] Alicia Frakture: Leesha sighs."Okay fine, but you have to understand if I am asking Mork or Gork I have to do it by their rules. Orcs are brutal and violent beings sometimes for good, sometimes for not. but fresh meat or blood. Since I am not a big religious one so honestly if there are other deities I'm open.
[2023/12/16 15:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana takes another of those un-needed breaths. "I shall stay here, if it's all the same."
[2023/12/16 15:57] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Likewise, I have to be cautious about honoring gods other than those who abide by dwarves, lest I lose what little favor I have."
[2023/12/16 15:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana looks to Dahlia, certain that she's a cleric and can surely opine.
[2023/12/16 15:59] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at them both and shakes her head, before heading over to the shrine and shakes her head."I'll figure something out."
[2023/12/16 16:00] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me "there seems to be alot of discussion of deities today. What would you like to know? For myself an open temple like this is a common ground prayer space. It is isn't consecrated to any single deity but more like a community gathering spot."
[2023/12/16 16:02] Alicia Frakture: Before any attempts to connect with Mork /Gork, are any other symbols calling to her. She is not full Orc.
[2023/12/16 16:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: There seem to be various symbols carved over the stone, evenly spaced at the same depth. Roughly a quarter, maybe more of the gods are represented, assuming they're all religious in nature.
[2023/12/16 16:04] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me while she was speaking she was scratching a symbol of selune into a tree near with pixie dust to help it glow before returning to checking out all the interesting images from other deity's worshippers that seemed to be all over
[2023/12/16 16:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana watches Dahlia, and when she is finished, makes a brief hand-twirling gesture.
[2023/12/16 16:07] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "What is that gesture, you just did, Katana?"
[2023/12/16 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Why, the sign of the holy gearwheel of Gordelphus, of course."
[2023/12/16 16:08] Alicia Frakture: Leesha shakes her head taking her small knife and cuts her arm."Blood or a fresh kill." Her hand going to the blood and placing a hand print on the Orc deity symbol."Need some direction... Shit not even sure how to do this. I can't get buried in rage and I need a sign." She sighed before removing her hand and walking back to the group, wrapping a makeshift bandage around her arm. "Offering given."
[2023/12/16 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: You recall that Katanas' shield has a large spiked wheel as it's design.
[2023/12/16 16:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: For a few moments, it seems that nothing is happening, but you're slowly aware of a faint but noticeable brightening, but it's a reddish-orange, as if there was a very localized sunset or sunrise
[2023/12/16 16:11] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben heads around the shrines, looking for the marks of the dwarven gods, pulling out a golden coin for each, bending it between her thumb and forefinger, and setting it down. It's stolen gold, but her gods will understand.
[2023/12/16 16:11] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is looking around trying to figure this out.
[2023/12/16 16:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: The reddish-orange glow is brightening, and shadows are splaying out in all directions.
[2023/12/16 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: The next moment what seems like an illusionary fireball slams down on the shrine, with a WOOMPH! as flames spread out, encircling the shrine. There's no blast, and indeed no great heat, but it's pleasantly warm, and bright, thanks to the flames dancing around the shrine.
[2023/12/16 16:14] Alicia Frakture: Is anyone else seeing this?
[2023/12/16 16:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: And one moment, it's not there, and the next, it just is. A faint choral note is sounding, while what look like three interlocked gear wheels that spin and rotate hover above the shrine.
[2023/12/16 16:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Welcome, child. You have questions, and seek answers."
[2023/12/16 16:15] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ( That was Katana speaking? )
[2023/12/16 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: (The voice is the grating of gear wheels. It's coming from the three interlocked gearwheels, each the size of a wagonwheel at least. Katana has yet to react to this)

[2023/12/16 16:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: You can all see this.
[2023/12/16 16:17] Alicia Frakture: Yeah.. Questions. How do I get a better grip on my anger. People have died because of it and I don't want that to happen."
[2023/12/16 16:19] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben is quiet for now, though watches the interlocked gearwheels, noticing that three gears fully interlocked will be unable to turn, though perhaps two are set apart from each other to allow for motion.
[2023/12/16 16:19] Alicia Frakture: Also what happened to Debben and I? why are we here.
[2023/12/16 16:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: The gearwheels spin, grinding loudly. "I would recommend some soothing medicines or perhaps councelling. This may be your gods' humour, I am not sure."
[2023/12/16 16:20] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debbens' eyes nearly turn inside out trying to follow the motion of the wheels. It may not be wise to dwell too much on the physical impossibility of what you see.
[2023/12/16 16:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: The grinding of gears comes louder. "Some say that the Creator took some dust, fashioned it into a shape, and breathed life... but you don't mean that, do you, child."
[2023/12/16 16:21] Alicia Frakture: Can't be Mork and Gork. to them counseling would involve a fight.
[2023/12/16 16:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: "The reason you are here, is because in the Beginning, the Creator Created. There was a choice, and a mistake. There was Law, there was Chaos. Law strives to follow Order. Chaos seeks to destroy Order. The Great Old Ones revelled in Chaos. The Great Old Ones cannot die, the Great Old Ones live when the stars are right. The Great Old Ones will return and bring such Chaos and madness and destruction as the children cannot imagine."
[2023/12/16 16:22] Alicia Frakture: No, I mean why did we get teleported here, where did we come from and why can't we remember
[2023/12/16 16:22] Alicia Frakture: ... Never mind
[2023/12/16 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: "All is not yet lost. A great War is coming. You and your companions shall take part, but whether for Good or Evil is not known. The outcome of the War is... uncertain. The Great Old Ones may be thwarted yet."
[2023/12/16 16:23] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: And since when is Debben wise? If the physics are impossible, that means she has failed to understand the physics. Here is a chance to study the -real- way the world works.
[2023/12/16 16:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: 9 WIS. Hmm. Good point.
[2023/12/16 16:28] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Perhaps the gears use a twisted space, or a mere illusion of counter-veiling rotation as a veil upon their true form. Perhaps the number of gears is not actually three....

[2023/12/16 16:30] Alicia Frakture: Can you at least tel us what we were doing before being brought here? She then looked at Katana and Dahlia."You are seeing this right?"
[2023/12/16 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana nods, somewhat increduluous. It looks like her god... but it's not her god.

[2023/12/16 16:32] Sonja Bikergrrl: "You made choices, the choices brought you here. The choices have caused a degree of mental opacity. You do not recall being on the path of studying to be a great and holy warrior. Your uncle inspired you. You were close to success. Now you are here."
[2023/12/16 16:33] Alicia Frakture: Leesha actually coughs in surprise."You telling me I was a paladin or something?"
[2023/12/16 16:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: "No, child. You were to be a different warrior, no less holy, no less powerful. The way is open to you, but your mind is currently fogged, the way is unclear to you."
[2023/12/16 16:36] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods."So all I gotta do is unfog my mind. I can do that. I hope."
[2023/12/16 16:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: "You have become clouded with Chaos. It is only with the order of Law that you may succeed."
[2023/12/16 16:39] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me mumbles to herself absentmindedly as she listens and thinks, "So a conflict between law and chaos thats bad... usually its good and evil, this is going to get wierd...", she giggled then
[2023/12/16 16:41] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben is not naturally prone to following the course of Law, but is smart enough to not speak that fact to a deific emanation.
[2023/12/16 16:41] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods."Okay, gotta find order and unfog my mind. before Great old ones wreck the joint.
[2023/12/16 16:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Child, is it your wish to seek the path of a Holy Warrior, and to wield great Power? With great Power comes great responsibility. To determine your suitability for the Path, you are charged with three lessons."
[2023/12/16 16:42] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods and listens
[2023/12/16 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Very well. The lessons come now. Do not fail us, child."
[2023/12/16 16:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: With that, the three gears are suddenly out of existance, and the flames die down, and the choral note ceases. A loud voice (Not the grinding of gears) booms out: "Child! Without a strong body, you will be beaten."
[2023/12/16 16:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: A figure appears on the altar stone. A 7' tall muscular figure that looks like a HUGE goblin, with yellow-brownish skin and brick red hair, with green-ish white eyesd with red pupils. Wedge shaped ears rise over the head, and the mouth is full of long sharp fangs.
[2023/12/16 16:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: Roll initiative!
[2023/12/16 16:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: sheesh, you got to beat a 1

[2023/12/16 16:47] Alicia Frakture: Leesha draws her wrench and charges in."Strong Body. I can do that." As she takes a swing
[2023/12/16 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: Before you can swing, the voice booms out again. "No weapons may be used!"
[2023/12/16 16:49] Alicia Frakture: Leesha drops the wrench and just goes for a punch.

[2023/12/16 16:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: Back to Leesha
[2023/12/16 16:53] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben starts thumping her leg against the ground, adding a steady beat to the ceremonial spar.
[2023/12/16 16:53] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is going for a grapple and if it succeeds gonna try to suplex the big guy to the ground.
[2023/12/16 16:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: d20...

[2023/12/16 17:01] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is going to go for a full punch, holding nothing back. he got a wild swing, doesn't mean he has gotten up yet.

[2023/12/16 17:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: The punch doesn't so much connect and thrust the monster, despite it's huge size, several feet back. It just lies still, gurgling. "Uuurrrkk...."
[2023/12/16 17:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: It looks like the fight is Leeshas!
[2023/12/16 17:02] Alicia Frakture: Anyone looking at her face sees she is really angry her anger trying to overtake her. She starts to step forward. and instead falls down to he knees
[2023/12/16 17:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana is over like a shot to help Leesha up. "Are you alright?"
[2023/12/16 17:04] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Doubt it, an ogre summon just punched her in the throat."
[2023/12/16 17:04] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods."Yeah, just took some damage there." She croaked out as she tries to get to her feet.
[2023/12/16 17:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: The monster rises up, dusting itself off, wincing, with an injury of its' own to contend with. "Hurr. Fight good. You earn dis." He unwraps what look like ornate bandages from his hands and holds them over to Leesha. "Dees help good."
[2023/12/16 17:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Mayhap some rest will help."
[2023/12/16 17:05] Alicia Frakture: Leesha takes them gratefully."Thank you."
[2023/12/16 17:06] Sonja Bikergrrl: The creature vanishes, leaving the wrappings with Leesha. You can see runes inscribed on the cloth.
[2023/12/16 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: And with that, we have a cliffhanger, as just what IS the next lesson going to be... and can Leesha be healed?
[2023/12/16 17:07] Alicia Frakture: Leesha begins wrapping her hands in the bandages.
[2023/12/16 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: Also it's 1am and I better get my head down before work tomorrow
